There are times that you are making real gains but cannot see your own progress. During those times, it may feel like you are losing ground, on a treadmill, or losing your momentum, but in fact you may have merely gotten used to a higher state of performance.
You may just need to keep on truckin’, so to speak, before you again see that you are making progress towards your goals. Consistency compounds, as the saying goes.
However, you can always use the occasion to question your processes for areas of potential gains in efficiency, effectiveness, or quality. There may be something that could improve your rate of progress, or make the effort more sustainable, enjoyable, or rewarding.
