Remove the Dependency on Others in the Search for Peace and Well-Being – DPF #442

This one is hard to do, particularly because we are hard-wired to depend on others for sustenance and emotional connection early in life.

By all means, feel free to develop high-quality connections with others. What I do also suggest, is that you decouple your connections with your search for peace and well-being, or what some might call the quest for “happiness”. I feel that quest lay inside each of us, and while others may help us along the way, it is a personal and individual struggle. Depending/relying on others for happiness/peace/well-being in mind will likely only bring misery, or invite misery on others.

You have the capacity to find peace and well-being within, and then be able to share that with the world.
